Book Summary - Cinderlily: A Floral Fairy Tale by David Ellwand and Christine Tagg

See full size image
Cindelily was a maid for her step-mother and sisters. Cinderlily was not invited to the Royal Ball. She had to clean while they were going to the ball. Then her fairy godmother came and gave a light blue dress. Cinderlily now got to go to the ball, but she had to come back before midnight or else she would go back into her work clothes. Right before she had to go, she got to dance with the prince. When she was going, she lost a petal, and in the morning the prince looked everywhere for the lady who he danced with to try it on, so he got all the ladies in the kingdom to try the petal on. Cinderlily tried it on and it fit. The prince and Cinderlily got married and lived happily ever after.

This story was different than Disney's Cinderella because in the story the characters were flowers and not real people. There also wasn't a cat but there was in the other Cinderella. The two stories were the same because they both had to be home by 12:00 and they were both maids.

Sock Monkey's First Travel Adventure

At the mall, I got a sock monkey and named it "Sock Monkey." I wanted Sock Monkey to come with me when I traveled.
His first adventure started when we went to Gram and Grampa's house.

He even looked out the window while we were driving. He tried to open up the window. He's a silly monkey!

When we got to there, I remembered there was an old Barbie jeep and I put Sock Monkey into it. Then he drove in the jeep up the stairs and outside. He had lots of fun. Sock Monkey's favourite part was when he went outside in the jeep in the snow.
